 A must activity is going the rounds of the Bontoc market on Sundays or having pancakes and freshly brewed coffee in the numerous cafes aournd town.  Try the second floor of the Bontoc Public Market.  Coffee drinking is a lifestyle among the Bontocs.  For a rejuvinating soak, you can take a 30 minutes ride up the mountain to the mineral springs of Mainit Village. Bontoc is a jump off point to various attractions in Mountain Province.   Sagada is a 45 minute ride away, Battad, Kalinga takes about 2 hours, and Bannaue is a one and a half hour ride away.  This year, Bontoc is the place to see.  The Cultural Festival, Lang-ay 2007 kicks off on April 2 with a cultural show on April 9, 2007.  The idyllic lifestall, the friendly populace, and most off all, the warm and courteous staff of Ridgebrook Hotel makes for many happy returns.  After all, there is much more to see and experience while in Mountain Province.  (Photo:  Lang-ay Festival 2006).
